Anyone know about these?? Benelli, yes they apparently made a pistol back in the 80's, found this one in San Diego yesterday. I had no idea, thought it was a misprint when I saw the ad. Model B76 chambered in 9mm Parabellum, less than a box of ammo through her and looks to be close to mint with 2 original mags and box. I am trading for it on Friday. :)

Manufacture of new pistols commenced in 1976, hence the model name, B76. Later on, two more models were added to line-up, the B80 in 7.62x21mm Luger / Parabellum and B82 in 9x18 Police. The design was dropped from Benelli product line, apparently because of insufficient sales. :dunno:

I am not sure of the value either, I found a couple of old ads on guns America ranging from 450-700 so who knows. I agree, it is probably well built and very unique looking. I know that it will be mine tomorrow. I will shoot it and post back here with my thoughts.

So I picked it up Friday and it is in close to mint condition. If it's ever been fired I can't tell. This is a very nice pistol and extremely tight. I am very happy with it, especially with supposedly less than 10k ever being made. I took a couple of pics next to my P220, P2000sk, and XDM compact. If anyone gets an opportunity to buy one, I recommend it. I haven't shot it yet but plan to soon.

One of the original "wondernines" that attempted to ride the wave of the massive private/public switch from revolvers to semi's. Never caught on with the American public, or apparently with Euro public/police either, hence the disco designation. In 1985, when US Army went with the M9/92 series, THAT killed off lots of competing hi cap 9mm's. LEO's in the US went to Beretta in droves with Glock coming in as a game changer at the end of that era. The rest, as they say, is history.

VERY well made gun iirc. Haven't held one in awhile but you do see them for sale from time to time.

Enjoy the heck out of it. It's what it was made for. Thanks for sharing.

I shot one back in 1981, it was the most accurate 9mm I had ever shot. Nick put the target with the gun in the showcase, I put 5 shots in one ragged hole at 25 yds. Very nice gun.
