Well here is my contribution to the thread. It's a 300 BO pistol I put together about 6 weeks ago (with a little help from Magdump, thanks again), around an $80 10.5" melonite barrel. I always talked myself out of building a pistol because I couldn't justify a need. But let me tell you, it has quickly become one of my favorites! With that red dot sight, it's way too easy to hit a 6" plate at 100 yards. Oh and a quick 15 sec switch, and it becomes a SBR.

Can you say super loud!
Couldn't keep stuff (from concussion) from flying off the range table today!....but oh what fun it was!
I better carry hearing protection in that backpack too...cause if not, I think I would incapacitate myself from the sound, if I ever had to use this in a defensive shooting scenario!
