It has been quiet here, so I thought I would post a picture of my latest project. It's not much now, just waiting on receiver and I need to get a few more parts.

How difficult is it to locate and drill the hole in the bottom of the trunnion for the latch pin? I'm wanting to use a folder stock on my next AK. I bought the stock and was looking at the bottom of the trunnion and it seems the hole is drilled between the step down thinkness on the bottom.

Are you going to have to turn down the barrel a little for that FSB?

It is not difficult to drill the hole for the latch. I made a jig just for it. I use my dremel and remove some metal where the step is. Yea the barrel will have to be turned down. I am going to push the front sight right next to the gas block, chop the barrel and permanetly attach the 74 brake.

Thanks. I'm waiting for when AKBuilder has the side folder flats back in stock. Then I'm going to start.

Here is the little jig I made to drill the front latch hole. Get a 6mm hex cap bolt like this one cut cut so that it will sit in the latch pin hole. Drill a hole in the center, I believe it is 5/32. I super glue the jig in place and drill.
