I have 0 experience with a shoulder holster, so maybe this is a stupid question, but how do you draw without flagging half the room?

My finger never touches the trigger until my gun is pointed at the intended target. Usually, that motion is so fast that you, or anyone else won't notice you're sweeping. If you're trained well enough and disciplined, you're not going to be squeezing that trigger during the sweep anyway.

Nothing is wrong with that kind of carry at all, it doesn't present any extra danger if you handle a firearm the right way to begin with.

The reason we don't see this carry method much anymore is because it requires a coat of some kind . And quite frankly a lot fewer people walk around with coats/jackets/vests now days.
