I'm a Glock guy, but I know a few guys who own the Taurus 1911 and like them... Seems like a pretty good price.

everyone i know that owns that gun absolutely loves it, and they own plenty of kimbers and colts as well.

Site Sponsor just posted the same thing, so for equal dollars that'd be my preference.

Same here. NOTHING of the likes of the Rem. 1911.

I just continue to hear good things.

Not a Taurus fan myself, but this is quite tempting.....

Jeff thought pretty highly of the Gun.
Like most said it came with higher end features for a gun of that price.
Now @ $399? $5.95 Flat Rate shipping? That probably rings even more true.

Hitman, whats the scoop on the Remington? I agree this is a damn tempting deal..nice beavertail, sights, and I haven't heard any negatives about them either.

I'll testify, my wife bought me a pt1911, for christmas about 7 years ago. Not one hiccup. I own & have owned many 1911's, Sigs, kimbers, s&w pc centers, rock islands Remington's, etc. The fit and finish isn't as nice as top tier (a little slide rattle). But it shoots where you point it, and goes bang every time. She paid a few hundred more than 399 for it

My pt1911 is at taurus getting repaired (est 6 weeks) second time ambitious safety fell out with less than 100 round count.
