    I am new to the sport, but have fallen in love. Plan to buy my first pistol very soon and need a place to shoot regularly. I'm looking for a nice facility, with decent prices, that i can shoot regularly (3-4 times a month). I've been to Honey Island, loved it, but its been shut down lately due to the river level. Any ideas of a place in the Metairie area? I'm willing to travel for a good range, but not looking forward to shoveling out $20 bucks an hour every time i want to shoot. I prefer an outdoor range to be able to shoot rifles also, but will settle for a handgun only for now to get my skills up. Thanks for any info. Everything helps.

    Thanks. I've heard of both of these but have yet to try them out. Anyone have anything to say about Tallow Creek Shooting Grounds in Covington?
