Can we get some more info on the event? What type of air rifle is used?
IE If I go buy an air rifle for this what would I be looking for?
How does a new person get started in this?

Hmm.. This will be tough to answer in one thread. There is nothing off the shelf around here that I would recommend you buy for this. I would ask if you don't already have something, come and join us and we will share/lend you a gun so you can learn the ropes. If you already have a gun, bring it and we will squad you with someone. It's a lot of fun and got me hooked. Send me a PM and I can give you my phone # if you want to chat.

I just committed to crewing for a guy Jun 7th.
I would like to make it out & try it. I want to get a nice air rifle mainly for home but I prefer to get one that I can compete with.

Some of the links on the bayouairgunclub site aren't working. I see 1st and 3rd Saturday are when it happens.

    Thanks

We haven't had enough members lately to do both in a month. (Hence the reason I'm posting here ;-))

For airgun, I would start with a Benjamin Marauder. It's a great starter gun and you can get pretty competitive with it. I would get .177 if you plan on competing.
