Does anyone know of a good lawn mower repair shop/person in the Baton Rouge/ Prairieville area?

K&D on Old Hammond Highway are pretty good at fixing mowers. I always fix my own though.

Same. We take ours to K&D Rent-All on Old Hammond right by Airline (by the Albertsons) for things that we can't fix ourselves. They will also let you borrow a mower while they are fixing yours :)

Man, there's a Youtube video that shows you how to do anything on earth. I did a search by the model number of my washing machine and found a video that showed how to change out the coupler that marries the motor to the drum, and another that showed how to replace the wing-mirror shell on my wife's Volvo. The repairs never take more than 20 to 30 minutes. Same with the coil on my Briggs And Stratton lawn mower.

It is more of a convenience factor at this point. With my schedule I really don't have time to fool with it. It's a old one that I need fixed to do something with.

Forget home depot ect... What kind of mower you looking for? Zero turn, push, tractor type ect...?
If you want one to last get commercial type from a dealer, not only a better machine, they will have parts for it and will fix it; home depot will not and most dealers will not handle warranty issues or stock any parts.
Depending on what you want there are brands like skag, gravely, dixie chopper and so on that will not fall apart and run forever.
