How is the blazer different than the mini mags? They are both high velocity.

Blazer is lead round nose. Mini mags are hollow point copper plated. Both made by CCI.

Not exactly Doc.
Mini-Mags aren't all HP's but are all Copper Plated.
Velocity Charge plays a part in price too.
The difference is really how much care goes into the primer.
Since this is rimfire were talking about, how much attention is paid
to how well the primer compound is spread throughout the rim and what kind of powder is used
as well as the copper coating all plays into the difference of premium vs non-premium rounds.
So I'm assuming the blazers are a non-premium round then??? Just wonderin.
Not as premium as Copper Plated considering Blazer is a Lead nosed round.

HM, do you find the shot to shot consistency with the Blazer as with the mini mags? I'm spoiled with mini mags, but haven't tried the Blazers, thanks.
I couldn't tell ya. Never performed such a test.
When measuring out .22 performance though,
under 100 yards, I'd have to question any data showing superiority
between rounds of the same velocity and make up.
Beyond 100 yards, I could clearly see where
Match Grade (coated) rounds with high velocity could stand out.
I'm no .22 expert though but this is a rimfire cartridge were talking about.
Performance is not exactly crucial unless competing so there's no where near the data
floating around to look at as compared to High Power Rifle Cartridges. AFAIK
