Just came back from the Mandeville show. First time. This was the best show I've been to in a long time. If I hadn't already busted my budget, I'd have spent a bunch with a guy who had most of the Garand and Carbine parts I've been looking for. Got his card so just need to replenish the treasure chest and I'll be good to go.
I spent two hours there this morning with a friend. Prices on handguns were not that far off from online prices that I've seen. Saw the guy with the Garand rifles and parts. Other than the Garand clinic I went to in May, that was the most Garand's that I've seen in one place at the same time. I don't know much about the Garand to really know what I am looking at but he seemed to have them priced in line with what I've seen on the CMP site. I'm not really in the market for ammo so I wasn't paying too much attention to prices. Ammo that I shoot seems to be readily available at the bog box places now. Did you see the guy with the $165 bucket of .22lr? I should have set up a tent out front and sold singles for $.25/round.
I was looking for some gen3 MagPul magazines. What I saw were prices from $15 to $20. I decided I would just buy them from Optimum Outfitters and keep the money local.
2 or 3 vendors with reloading powder.
1 guy had the biggest collection of powder I have seen in a while.
He even had a supply of "Unique".
Lots of primers and projectiles.
Couple of tables of 1911 and AR parts
