    Eymard shooting academy located in cut off at 14968 hwy 3235 wii be closed for the month of september and will re open on october 1st---this to allow the contractor to perform work on the protection levee---the shooting berm was raised to 21 ft and shrubry was planted all over the berm---side berms were constructed---and other safety measures were taken---the range will remain 825 yds---thanks for you understanding hugh eymard

    The range is still open, closed for September, back open October.

    Still not a safe range for the neighbors and the levee district. Shoot at your own risk as the range has no side berms and the backstop is lower than the levee where people work.

    His "Side Berms" are approximately 25' long from the backstop. Nothing going to the shooting shed. Yes he raised the backstop some, but the levee is still higher.

    You try mowing the levee while they are shooting...

    Not saying it's adequate or that it's not potentially dangerous for anyone on the levee but to even hit the levee with a .50 bmg, you'd have to clear the berm at 825 yards by eight or nine feet. With a .308, you'd have to clear the berm by twenty feet to even reach the levee.
