Does SOG make this knife with serrations on both blade edges?

No, the Daggert or Daggert 2 were never produced with serrations on both sides and neither are in current production anymore.

The SOG Desert Dagger did have serrations on both sides and they differed in number and size of "teeth" on each side. It was the predecessor to the Daggert line. It was also featured in Kill Bill 1 where Uma Thurmon used it in the knife fight and she also had one strapped to her leg in the movie posters. It commands a premium on the interwebz with SOG collectors but be careful as there are also counterfeits of it out there.

Is this the knife you have? If so, yes it is counterfeit. Go stick it into the person that sold it to you.

That's it. Oh well, I only paid $20.00 for it, so I'll just use it as garden tool.

Just because it's a counterfeit SOG (Though the $20 price tag should have keyed you in), it's still a knife. Not something you'd want to bet your life on, but a knife none the less. If it's sharp or holds an edge, use it for your Bar-B-Q grill. :)

I put it on the belt sharpener w. 600, 800, and 1000 grit to the point it will shave a phone book page. Now I'll just wait and see if it holds the edge under use.

I've been using it for about a month now, doing minor root and shrub pruning. A quick pass on the belt sander restores the edge surprisingly well. I guess I didn't get burned badly on the price, after all.
