Any local shops South La that can swap a K98 Barrel?

I have a replacement barrel and looking to see if anyone Metaire ect reasonable driving distance can swap it.
Hate to send it out if someone local can do it at a reasonable cost and check head space on bolt.

There used to be a gunsmith near Clearview on W. Esplanade that did a lot of Mauser work. I don't know if he's still around though.

Try bigjakewelch or louisianagunney, look at the site sponsors. you may have better luck outside the GNO area, hammond, BTR ect....

Curious as to where you got your barrel. Mine on my K98 is kinda rough but usable and am considering putting a scope on it but would be wasting my time/money trying to be accurate way out with the present barrel. Keep us posted on who you find!!

I got a nice used on from gun broker.

Also may have the receiver blued and few small parts as will redo the stock my self while off.
So leaving towards
1} bring in a barrel receiver,
2} have new barrel installed,
3}re-blue and a few small parts.
Make sure bolt head spaces right and any work that may be needed to it can be done at same time.
Want it to be right and having one local guy that can address all possible issues at the same time. I want it right but also need a budget or save more to add
