I have an M&P pro 9mm. I recently replaced the trigger with the Apex Tactical kit. I just want to verify that I am reading the rules correctly. It looks like this upgrade has made my gun illegal for production division since I installed the kit with the actual trigger. Had I installed the Apex kit with just the sear, striker block, RAM, springs, etc. it would have remained legal for production. Anyone know if that is correct?

you are correct on both counts.

installing the APEX kit with the actual trigger itself violates the production division rules
installing APEX parts that you stated is production legal.

general rule of thumb, any upgrades you do to a production must be "internal" aka not visible. to my understanding, the only external mods you can do is to stipple certain areas on the grip and changing out sights.
