Well, after spending my last several weekends off fishing on Big Lake and only catching an occasional red and flounder, I finally landed some specs today. Haven't had a chance to really fish that lake in about 3 years, and to put it lightly, it shows... Only landed 7 specs and a 22" red before I had to take off to get back to town, but I was a happy camper. Ready to go back and get after 'em again. Anybody else hit the water lately?

Went to the Great Wall of Chalmette about 3 weeks ago and came home with 9 legal sized specs. Musta caught around 50 total but only could keep the 9. Most ran 11-11.5 inches but were fun and kept me busy. All caught with green plastic beetles!
