I'm looking for 22 Long rifle bulk ammo. I'm in the Baton Rouge area if anybody knows where they are selling it let me know please. The nephew and I are going shooting and I want to be able to burn through 500 to 1000 rounds. Academy only had the 50 pack and of course they only allow you to buy two of them, what am I going to do with 100 rounds of 22 ammo. I just want this 10-year-old to have a good time.

I usually buy my limit of two every third day if it is available. While digging through my ammo safe I came across a box of thunderbolts in 525 pack. It's almost as good as winning the lottery

Join slickguns too, and watch for posts here. I've picked up four bulk packs in the past few months from Cabela's for no more than $25. Had them send it to the store for free shipping, a good option if Cabela's is convenient to you.

It's been readily available daily online on numerous sites. Also as said above, Optimum outfitters has it always available in their store in mandeville at decent prices.

He's ten years old, he will be with his favorite uncle, he will be shooting. Teach him good marksmanship, one shot at a time, slow fire. Shoot for tiny groups...don't have to spray the target with rounds as fast as you can pull the trigger..Bring some targets that bounce when hit, or spin. Anything that reacts when hit is fun.
He will have the time of his life , enjoy every minute of it, and have life long memories.
You go have fun, don't worry about round count!

How to get 22lr ammo in 4 easy steps:

    1. Go to www.slickguns.Com
    2. Create an account.
    3. Setup alerts for caliber and price per round (have mine set at $0.06/round).
    4. Wait for email and order.

FYI: I haven't paid more than $0.06/round since all this panic started. Cabellas is just about the best. Usually comes out to $31 for a 550 brick.
