Sorry if this is the wrong place to put this, I thought it fit.

I have a partial Finnish M27 sling that was modified somewhere along the line. I was hoping someone could pint me in the right direction of some one who can fix it. These slings aren't common, so I'd rather fix it if possible.

On one end, some one added a roller buckle, when it should be a loop with two rivets closed shut. And I'm missing part of the sling, that I was hoping could be made from cannibalizing another leather Finnish sling I have on the rifle.

Here are the pics, if anyone has someone they know good with leather, please let me know. I don't mind mailing it off if that's necessary.

This is what the sling looks like complete.

Leather shop that specializes in slings. Nice work.

Thanks for that. I'll save the info in case the guy I sent it to doesn't work out. I found a guy in OK who specializes in old leather, repairing WWI; saddles, belts, holsters and riggings. He sent me some pics of his work and he seems legit. He also sent me a pic of some worn and crusty looking metal buckles, and Dee rings. He says he tries to match the patina of the piece with the added hardware. I'm very hopeful. I'll post pics when it comes in. He told me probably two weeks with the current work load. :bigok:
