There is a prefiled bill that would allow advertising on Wildlife and Fisheries vehicles and boats to raise money for the department.

I'm not sure how this will turn out. I don't think I would like to see corporate sponsors like casinos or tobacco or Budweiser signs on this equipment. I guess gun manufacturers or fishing equipment manufacturers would be OK but I think this is going to be pretty embarrassing for the Wildlife and Fisheries personnel that use this equipment on a daily basis.

What do you all think about this?

This is gonna be interesting, the possibilities are endless.
They will need to pick and choose wisely to keep with their mission statement.
Having a Coors ad on the boat while doing DUI checks might not be the best idea.
LDWF will start looking like NASCAR.

I forget which comedian ran with that bit a few years back, and i agree it should be mandatory for any government candidate, official or entity receiving money to identify all of their sponsors.

I'm guessing Cabela's and Bass Pro will be very interested. Then it will look like wildlife and fisheries biologists will be endorsing their products. How about guide services and canned hunt operations? I see a conflict of interest in some of the possibilities for advertising by people that they regulate.

I suspect that the advertising will not likely be placed on enforcement vehicles. I imagine that there might be some on selected enforcement boats with the majority of the signage more than likely being placed on the trucks and boats of the non-enforcement equipment.
