200 and 300yd is short range. 600yd is mid-range. Long range is 800, 900, and 1000yd. For long range you will have to travel to Texas or Mississippi. The Ascension Parish Sheriff's Gonzales range is 300yd and is open to the public one Thursday per month. There is a 200yd high power rifle match followed by a 300yd F-Class match every 4th Sunday of the Month. Palo Alto Rifle & Pistol club is a private club in Donaldsonville. The range has target pits and firing points at 200, 300, 500, and 600yd. Match schedule: 1st Saturday 600yd F-Class/Mid-Range Prone Match, 2nd Saturday 600yd FPR Match(similar to F-Class), 3rd Saturday 200, 300, 600yd High Power Rifle Match.

Eymard's shooting Academy in cut off, la.

    Steel out to 800. Silhouette @ 825.

Anything longer than that and you have to go up near memphis (1300 yds), or over into Texas. There are a couple in texas that bump out past 1500, and one that I know of that goes out to 2,000.

I'd love to know where there is a range in MS that goes farther than 800.

Good thing about Eymard's is that it isn't a club with a monthly/ yearly fee. $20 on initial session gets you your card and I think it's $20 per session after that. The range master is a super cool guy, former sniper team member. Great guy and a looooooong range!
