Picked up a stainless New England Arms in 357 today. Think I'm gonna have the barrel threaded and shoot 38spl through my 45 suppressor. For those who have done this, how quite is it compared to a 22 and a 300 blackout?
Just curious what can will you be using? I had similar thoughts for the future with my octane 45/9mm endcap combo. Itll even handle a 357 from a full length barrel.
I've done a lever gun in 45 LC and 357/38spl. Both sound excellent with the sub rounds. Much quieter than my 300blk ARs due to the lack of action noise. Maybe even a little quieter than my TC 300blk but not much. I have used an octane 45 HD and octane 9 hd on the 38spl with similar results. As far as comparing it to 22.... Well, nothing really gets close to suppressed 22, at least nothing I've heard.
Sounds great. Can't wait to get it threaded. I took it to the range today and just shot a handful of 38spl through it. I think it's gonna be a fun little gun.
