My Dad wants to sale his Colt Python. It is in pretty decent shape. I believe he got it around 1991 or later.

What is a fair asking price? I know they are in high demand but don't want to ask a ridiculous amount.

Will post a picture when I get one.

    Any guidance is appreciated.

Price depends on a LOT of variables, such as the type of finish, barrel length, most importantly condition, and also does he still have the box/case and papers? Pictures help, but the more info the better.

Disregard, I misunderstood him. He picked up one at an auction and wants to sell it, not his personal one. Looks like it needs some work.

He said action is smooth. I don't know what's fair.

If you want to sell it, I suggest you set a price and move it the for sale section of this forum. If you are looking for the highest bidder, list it on an online gun action site. Where are you located by the way?

As stated above, if you want to list it for sale, create an ad in the marketplace.
Ad must have a picture, price, and location.

If you want to sell it auction style, list it on a gun auction site.

    Closing thread.
