I don't think there is an official camping area on the refuge but u could find a place nearbye.

Correct. It's a wildlife management area, not a national forest. No camping in the area but there are nearby campgrounds in Slidell and Picayune.

If anyone has gone out there, are all of the electrical components alright? Shouldn't be much harm if the water came in and out.
