I recently went to the NRA Annual Meeting in Louisville, KY. While there, I bought the EO Tech 300 BLK holographic sight that lists (MSRP) for $549.00. Plus, their G33, 3 X magnifier that lists (MSRP) for $589.00. I paid a total of $900.00 for both at the Kensie's Optics booth.
I did this on the last day of meet. My intent was to buy these 2 items and then purchase a "squad gun case" This fell through. I had always had 3 EO Techs for different rifles on my want list. But the 1 scope and magnifier; and the intended gun case were my priorities and all my budget could afford.
The gun case is still not available. So, I called Kensie's Optics today and bought the HHS II package which is the EXP2-2 holographic sight plus the G33 3 X magnifier. The package list (MSRP) for $1079.00. The two items individually list (MSRP) for $579.00 and $589.00. I offered the same $900.00 that I paid at the gun show. They accepted with no hesitation.
It appears their recent troubles with the military due to set-point drift has made them more reasonable and has reduced their actual selling price. I'm somewhat confident or maybe optimistic that mine will be OK as mine will not be exposed to the extreme temperatures that the military does. The EO Tech representative told me their problems is more of a test criterion problem than a problem with the sight. Probably B.S. But I purchased them anyway.
Aimpoint would have been acceptable to me but they are too expensive.
