Soooo... A lefty governor who can't outlaw CHP applies preasure to the state police to make it more difficult to obtain a permit. By cutting budgets creating delays and backlogs. I'm shocked... said no one about this ever.

Are you saying that since the head of the state police is appointed by the governor and can be fired by the governor that he would do something like this that the governor would want? That can't happen in Louisiana, can it?

If you would get your head out of the sand or where-ever you keep it you would see that the whole state if in financial trouble and every state office is dealing with severe cut-backs. There is nothing fishy about this just be glad they didn't close the office or reduce it to one worker. Also if u watched any of the news you would see that the populace is breaking all time records with the purchase of firearms and in turn a lot of all kinds of applications to CC offices, NFA apps.and the like, putting additional strain on all the offices. Just be glad u get what u want. If Katrina didn't teach u to wait, nothing will.

Submit your application online and get your fingerprints at LSP and it should speed things up .

Yeah, except for the 3.5 hour drive and a day off work makes that expensive.

Any reason the fingerprints couldn't be sent electronically from SO to LSP system? Or scanned at the local troop?
That would speed things up for everyone.

what did you expect, since the legislature is still drinking the Jindal aid and catering to their keepers.
