Independence from the rule of King George III was a necessary step in the eventual abolition of slavery ( yes , it took a while and the process was ugly ) . It was also a first step in creating the political system that she herself takes advantage of . More political grandstanding using a subject matter that is guaranteed to get attention .

Maybe we could take up a collection and give her a much needed frontal lobotomy

I'd love to see her read the emancipation proclamation, and she what she does when she hits the "except" part. It's amazing how many people try to quote it, but have never actually read it.

The largest Caddo Parish racial/ethnic groups are Black (47.5%) followed by White (47.0%) and Hispanic (2.6%)

I can't find demographic information specific to legislative district 3 but the above is something. It is apparent that her bills will probably not even get out of committee but it would be a great statement to the rest of the state if the LA gun community successfully backed a viable challenger.

This idiot reminds me of the rep who thought Guam would tilt if Marines were moved to the other side of the island!

Unfortunately, as the old saying goes, "the cream rises to the top".
Her supporters think she's doing a great job since she's been there 8 years.
I haven't looked up election details but she probably ran unopposed for the election.
