I use jhp 124 gr. The monarch brand stay subsonic in almost every 9mm pistol I have. Including my fastest velocity sig 938 (no kidding this thing chronographs faster than any other full size 9mm pistols including my Gen4 G17 threaded barrel - with or without suppressor).

I just use whatever 147 grain stuff I find. My suppressed G17 is one of our bedside guns, I don't want to be deaf if I ever have to shoot indoors.

Do you worry about messing up your baffles with JHP rounds running through your can?

They don't expand till they hit something.... I think that you're thinking they will expand before hand.

Exactly! I guess I've not stopped to think about them needing to hit a target before "mushrooming" out. It would have to hit a mass in order to shroud out the tips. Ok. Good note. Thank you!
