Long story short... a group of us each put up a few bucks to buy the men & women of the Mandeville Police Dept. some lunches and dinner. The restaurant that we partnered with wouldn't take any payment. Shout out to the Rusty Pelican. So we have $250 that we don't know what to do with. The department can't accept anything like cash or gift cards. They have a foundation that gives out toys around Christmas time but we are looking for something that the department would benefit from more directly.

Yall could fund better bullet proof vest for the officers. I'm not sure what type they currently have but I remember a statement by one of the Baton Rouge officials saying their officers have vest rated for pistol ammo not rifle ammo.

Try to buy them dinner again. If the cycle continues, rinse and repeat.

That amount would cover approximately 50% of 1 quality level 4 ballistic vest.

No such thing that we know of. They have a foundation that gives out toys at Christmas time but we want to do something that benefits the officers more directly.

I still think feeding them is cool, lunch and/or dinner. So all the Mandeville LEOs can benefit. Keep going til you run out of funds.

    Mandeville FOP is Lodge #42

Donate it to the lodge. They put on events for the officers and their families.
