Can someone explain to me how can you be denied a CCW permit when you been living in Louisiana your whole life and never been arrested???? Waiting to get my so called letter of denial to find out. Able to purchase handguns with no problem. Very pissed and confused!!!

I know in Texas there is no NICS check if you have a valid CHL. Didn't louisiana start accepting the same procedure?

I am thinking they have me confused with the other person here with the same name as me. It wouldn't be the first time. Just waiting for my formal letter to see why.

You would think with a SS number they would know the difference. Maybe the State Police are doing drive bys and checking to see if people that are trying to obtain a CHP have Trump signs in their yard. Might wind up on the no-fly list too. Hope it all works out.

Shouldn't deny for that reason. I've been delayed several times due to sharing a name with my father.

I took the class on Aug.27th and filed on Aug.29th and went to the LSP Headquarters and was finger printed. Received the email from LSP stating app was excepted and sent me the link to pay before I walked out. Payed online that afternoon and it was withdrawn from my account the next day. I just went over a copy of the app I printed before I submitted it and I don't see anything missing. All I can do is wait for the letter to see why.
Has anyone heard of anyone getting denied and why??
