You bought a new lower? Or did you buy the 551 and start from there? I'm just curious b/c I have a 556 swat SBR. but want the side folding lower.

It was a Swat Patrol with an AR lower and I sold it to get a 551 lower. I didn't like the look of the ar lower. Just didn't look right.

Where did you buy the lower? I was wondering where to get the side folding lower, since mine started off as a pistol with no stock and I had to add an ace side folding adaptor

I bought it on http://www.sigarms556.com/forums/non-ffl.12/. I sold my lower there also. I think I paid $350 for it with stock.
