As an alternative to the regrets we experience having sold or traded off a gun or two in the past, I thought it would be fun to see some of your favorites and the great bargains you may have happened upon:

    * Back in the early 70s, I bought a new Colt Frontier .22 single action sixgun. It was immediately my favorite and I shot the heck out of it. It was stolen about 20 years later. But, just recently I came upon another at a gun show, priced about the same as a used Ruger Single-Six. Although I own a menagerie of other guns, this little beauty remains my all time favorite.

    * Always loved Lugers, yet somehow never was able to afford one until another forum member offered a pair for sale a few years back. I tried but couldn't resist the temptation. They, too, are favorites of mine and I've enjoyed giving them workouts at the range.

Almost each of them has a personal story or affinity attached to it. My G17 has been with me through a ridiculous number of hairy situations at work and we've always gone home safe for over 10 years, the P22 was a group college graduation gift from my friends, the .35 Whelen got my first deer and my 300 Blackout was my first full AR build (started with stripped upper, not just lower assembly) got 2 deer last year, and will be my first SBR soon.

Have to be either my Colt Diamondback or my S&W 6" 686. Those two are as close as I'll ever get probably to Rick's Python on the Walking Dead...Lol.

Early 80's Remington model six. It's not a real valuable gun or even a real fun gun to shoot, but it was given to me by my grandfather, so there is sentiment value. Also a gun I anticipate owning is my other grandfathers 357. My grandmother has gotten up in age and couldn't shoot it I she had to, so I told both my parents I wanted it and would buy it from her if need be. It will likely sit in the back of the safe just like the model six.

    Hard question.
Primarily I deer hunt and I have little interest in hand guns.

The 1 rifle I always seem to run home to is my H&R 35 Whelen. I've got prettier guns, I've got more expensive guns, but I find myself toting the H&R all the time.

I'm drooling over that Lewis! Nice piece of history there!

I really like my M1 Garland. My 10/22 was my first rifle, given to me by my father. The WASR was the first firearm I purchased when I was 18. My grandfather gifted me a double barrel shotgun (make/model is slipping my mind) that belonged to my great grandfather. All of these are special to me, but I love all of my firearms!

Other than firearms passed down to me with immeasurable sentimental value, hands down my M1 Garand.
