nola area gunsmith

Hello guys, been a member for a while but hardly post. Mostly just hang out and enjoy the reading. I'm looking for a nola area gunsmith that can thread a barrel. I know there was an older gentlemen on the westbank that did pretty good work out of his house, but I can't find any info on him any longer. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would like to do a muzzle break on my 300 win mag Rem770 and my .270 rem700T.

Youre probably thinking about Ken Comeaux....check out Primary Machine in Houma.

I think you are thinking about Comeaux's "gun clinic". Not reccomended.

I called him about re-crowning a muzzle and he was a total dick on the phone. Then I found these threads which backed up my experience.
I don't know of anyone in NOLA. There are several gunsmiths on here as sponsors, but you may have to go to Baton Rouge.

An ITAR license is now required to thread a barrel. :mad:
