Brookhaven and Calverton. Both go out to 200 yards. What is the point you are trying to make exactly?

I figured I wouldn't have many opportunities to shoot further than 200 and that played into why I bought the rifle chambered in .308. If I had access to much further I would have went with 300 win mag, 338 Lapau, or 6.5 creedmore.

The first 2 you mentioned are indeed some serious BA rounds! The .308 is no slouch, I like mine for sure.

Lmao, yes. Luckily I bought my AR before Sandy Hook. At least the rifle I own is an AR and not a NY post Sandy Hook compliant one.

My elcheapo build shoots a pretty decent group at 100.

First shot was 3/4" left. 4 clicks right was one click too many of course, but the following 9 shots grouped pretty tight. I've always favored the HBAR barrels as far back as the early 80's. This one is a 223 Wylde from Anderson Arms 1:8 twist 16" carbine gas. The group was shot using Black Hills 77gr OTBT.

That's a mighty fine "cheapo" build, sir. What's the specs, if you don't mind me asking?

Started with the barrel of course, Anderson arms fluted HBAR, 16" carbine gassed in .223 Wylde with 1:8 twist. Troy Alpha rail, Can't remember the upper, spikes BCG, Spikes lower, Timney trigger, JP captured buffer spring, Magpul fixed stock, Nikon P-223 scope in 3-9x40 and a green blob (Atlas takeoff) bipod and a linear comp. The rifle is a dream to shoot.

I wasn't being sarcastic when I said elcheapo. Much of the rifle was assembled with parts I had laying around either new takeoff or used. And I didn't exactly go all out on much of anything, although I could have gone cheaper on the trigger, stock and handguard.
The barrel cost me $121 shipped, btw.

That's not bad at all, although I would have gone with a different barrel. It seems to be working out just fine for you. I typically don't count the price of parts I have laying around either. I could give them imaginary values, but if I only need X amount of dollars in parts to complete something, that's all I look at.
