What would you do? Thread my mark 1 ruger or sell and buy a 22/45 with factory threads. I haven't had them side by side but my mark 1 seems to have a better trigger. What your opinion?

I have a Ruger standard (pre mk1) and a 22/45 lite. The 22/45 lite trigger is rather decent and is an awesome host for a lightweight can (a warlock stays on mine most of the time).
Of course I say keep the old and buy another.

i also have a ruger mark 1. i purchased a tactical solutions threaded upper and it also sports a warlock ii. both the upper and the warlock are both very light. i just didnt want to hack the original barrel.

Please do not thread a Ruger standard.

Sell it and but a 22/45 or pick up an upper.

I've made bad decisions on selling guns before, I'll never do it again!! Keep it and buy another one.

The handgun classifieds on BS is full of used handguns priced above the NIB selling price. Sell your used handgun here buy new and keep the change. :)

i thought long and hard about selling a kimber series 1 ( an early 97 pistol with a really awesome serial number).

after shooting and dry firing a whole bunch of new threaded barrel 1911s, I finally decided on just ordering a jarvis barrel for it. I'm so glad i did.

In your case, dont sell it, dont thread it, keep it!

About the same as a new 22/45
I say buy the new gun, no way I would even consider threading your barrel and the cost savings is marginal for buying new parts. I think I got my 22/45 lite under $350.

I did some looking around and I am going to go with a Tactical solutions pac-lite 4.5 black matte no flutes upper $280. Its only a 100 more than threading and about the same as selling and buying a new gun. Thanks for all the great advice.

that's the one I have. I purchased the fiber optic front sight when I ordered the upper. it's bright and really stands out. you won't be disappointed.
