Guys, are any of you aware of a Semi-Auto .22 Magnum Rifle? I'm looking to get a .22 Mag. Rifle for Christmas, but would rather not get a bolt action.

CZ makes one and it's pretty much the only one out there. A little pricey around $475.... Ruger made one for a while but had issues with it and recalled the entire line.

What about a lever action? Winchester 255 and a Winchester 94/22. I have the 255 and it's nice.

Now that would make a quicker follow-up shot than a bolt. Will look into that. Thanks

Ruger tried making a 10/22 Mag and failed. Magnum Research took over makes the same 22 mag and it even takes the old Ruger magazines. I have one and my dad does too. Good rifles.

The ones I know about are the CZ512 and the one made or sold by Mitchell's Mauser. We have the CZ and it is awesome. The one made by Mitchell's Mauser has very good reviews. The CZ is a classic looking wood stocked gun and the other one has a polymer black stock and is more modern looking. The CZ is the more expensive of the two ( between 4-500 dollars) I saw the other one on sale on slick guns a week or so ago.

I have two .22mag autos made by H&R model 700. One was bought by my grandfather to shoot turkeys in the head on his Texas lease back in the day.
I bought the other off gunbroker for $400. They both shoot great and are a full size rimfire rifle.

Semi autos are nice but I believe the ones discussed above hold 5 rounds. The good old lever action will give you 11 rounds.

I have a CZ512 and like it. Henry makes a nice pump that may keep you on target better than a lever gun, of course Henry makes a lever also. I also have a Remington 597 Magnum that is ok too.

I believe the Mitchel Mauser one is the same as the Excel 22 magnum rifle. Remington still makes one. THE Cz 512 shoots great. H&R, H&K, and Kodiak all made one.

Remington makes a model 597 i believe. Remington, mag research, volquartsen are the main current production models.

I've given up on Keltec. Their stuff is not that good that I feel I can wait on a company building firearms as a hobby.
