Legal or not the real question is...why would you want that thing anyway?

Oh, I know, maybe I came across wrong. I only answered like that to emphasize how STUPID it is to have the law written the way it is as though the composition of the metal somehow changes relative to how the pieces may or may not have ever been assembled.
