Yes, Foie Gras with a nice bottle of Chardonnay is probably not in high demand when the plant guys come strolling in for lunch. :p And escargot, forget it!

However, if Chef Jeremy is running his signature pumpkin and crab bisque for lunch, it is to die for!

Yeah us mouth-breathers don't like to eat things we can't pronounce.

That's okay! You can just point at what you want to try to expand your horizons! It's not as easy as telling the electronic waitstaff at McDonald's you'll have a number 1 with a root beer; but at least you can say were there. :D

Thanks for all the suggestions. Seems like the "power that be" says we're going to either Sonny's BBQ on florida or to the great wall on college(?).
I eat the salad at sonny's and the food at great wall is meh. I might as well find a sams and order pizza by the slice...or go to little Caesars. bummer...not the way I was hoping my weekly cheatmeal would be. Cheatmeal from my regular, healthy eating throughout the week. Ugh. Seems like the interest is going to a buffet as opposed to a plate lunch. If there's another buffet lemme know, otherwise it's either salad or dogfood for lunch.

Ate at the other nagoya today. At jones creek and coursey. For ten bucks at lunch you get three full sushi rolls. A salad and miso soup

    Himalaya's on Sherwood--authentic-ish Nepalese food.

I also vouch for Nagoya Cafe off of Jones Creek.

The Nagoya's buffet on Sherwood (I believe completely non-related) is crap now.

Himalayas sounds good. Curious about the pics and what's served. Been to an indian place but they only serve like 6 things at the buffet. looks like 10-12 here. Additional thoughts? How about parking and dining room size? we'll be in a 16" box truck. thx

I've only been at dinner (almost nobody ever eats dinner here), it's been great the few times I've been.

Sonny's is the dog poop of BBQ places. I don't know how they call themselves Memphis BBQ, but they ain't even if the chain started there. Nothing like good Memphis BBQ.

Good food here, good beer selection too. I eat here pretty often. The burger with fried egg is awesome.

It's a small place with a small buffet but I enjoy it thoroughly. It's nothing "fancy", the owner is extremely friendly, and the food doesn't taste "cheap". It's my opinion that this place doesn't get the amount of business that it deserves.

You *should* be able to park the truck. You may have to park perpendicular to the parking lines but there's plenty of space. Worst case you can fit on the road behind the building.
