If VW would ever bring the Amarok stateside, I'd say look no further.
The original poster asked about Dodge products. Now that they are in bed with Fiat I have no idea who will supply the engine. The Liberty diesel was an Italian engine and did not have the best reputation. When Dodge was in bed with Daimler they shared some German transmissions but I don't think any Mopars other than the Sprinter used the Daimler engine. Newer Sprinters with the 3.0 are not my cup of tea. In Europe their are diesels in many flavors. Time will tell with Jeeps.
A quick test........What is the DEF fluid used in modern diesels based on?
Absolutely! Although I'd be looking real hard at the new Colorado Duramax Diesel coming next year. http://www.chevrolet.com/2015-colorado-small-truck.html
Urea and Deionized water? Or is there a different answer?A quick test........What is the DEF fluid used in modern diesels based on?
I'd love to see something even a bit smaller.

I can't wait for Jeep to release the Wrangler with a diesel stateside. I think it's coming out in 2015.
