I have a white limited edition (one of 1964) on order. Build date is sept 15th.

I sat in one a couple weeks ago. The pictures do it no justice. No picture captures the back end and true feeling of it's size. The interior is nothing short of incredible.

    I can't wait either lol

They told me early October likely. He was like "if you wanted the v6 it'd be a couple weeks tops, and save you 4 or 5k?"

I guess the look on my face said it all.

I didn't drive one but I heard the turbo i4 is insane off the line. Traditionally RWD turbo vehicles are ho-hum from factory and become aftermarket street legends. It'll be interesting to see. I just prefer the tune of the v8, and even if it had less power I'd still prefer it.

Nice choice! What's the ETA on getting any of them on lots? My 01 Bullitt was rear ended Friday, even if they fix it I may try and trade up if the money works. An Ecoboost + sport package could be a fun, fun time once the aftermarket gears up.

Good choice! Its funny you mentioned "practicality"

I went from; Sentra, 350z, Silverado, wrangler, 370z. Nothing is practical for a homeowner after owning a truck/Jeep.

Don't hold your breath on that. Do you have a build date yet? Scheduling is done through a September 22nd. Scheduling is on hold until sept 11th. Mine is scheduled for sept 15th. None have shipped yet. They appear to be holding for extra qc. I'm not expecting mine until mid October at the earliest. I'm hoping for earlier but ford hasn't given the ok to ship on any cars as if yet (production started august 18th). It's not uncommon for them to wait 6 weeks after start of new line to ship cars for extra qc and so many hit lots at once.

Also, is yours submitted as a retail or stock order? No retail (custom) orders outside of the imited editions are scheduled yet. No one knows if any retails will make it into job 1 or be pushed off to job 2.

Me jealous! I see your frugal firearms budget has paid off in ponies.

Yup. I've got 4 "necessity" guns, the rest are just toys to me. I haven't yet caught the "collectible" bug, so its hard for me to justify 500, 800, or 1000 on something that I'll seldom use or get frequent enjoyment or income from. I generally invest a little into trying something I like- my first guitar was 200.00. After a few years of playing on that pos, I sprung for a les paul. Keeping with my norm, after 7 years of driving an economical and sensible car, its time to spring.

No comment on the radar detector. I'll reserve my heavy foot for test n tune night at the local strip. (and expect 12.99 or better on my first run)

Was told that they were bumped and won't even begin until Sept 22. He told me late OCT/early Nov as a delivery estimate, but noted that traditionally the v6's arrive in fleets before the GT's make their first appearance.

    I told him I'd wait :)

Production began on august 18th, very slow, testing the line. Some of them are customer cars. Car number 000001, the Barrett auction car was built yesterday and is the official start of productions (cars are not necessarily built in vin order). Many gt's are showing up as built.

Likely, you're just going to be waiting your turn. Scheduling starts again in sept 11th. Get the order number and dealership code and you may be able to track it online and see when yo get a vin and build week.

Mine is unscheduled clean for week of sept 15th still. I HATE the wait lol

What you have a chance to get first just depends on what they've ordered. If you ordered retail (custom order, not dealer stock) unless it's a limited edition, it won't be built until job 2. Start date of job 2 production hasn't been set. The good news is, wait time betwen production and shipping on job 2 cars should be less as qc will drop to normal levels.
