big box stores don't care, they have insurance for that. And the fire hoses should have came out, that would have been awesome.

I used to be an insurance agent; every home & business property policy I worked excluded civil disturbances. Same for acts of war or terrorism.

I’d have liked to see some fire bombers roll in and dump water on the demonstrators, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ZkV64GJihA

Is it just me that other than after Katrina which was more looting than rioting, that things like this happen on the West Coast and other places with stricter gun laws than we have here in the South. Hmmmm wonder why that is?

Are you sure about that? Sounds like a pretty terrible policy.

However, most big box stores probably self-insure, so they do take a loss.

Yep! Insurance companies make their money by selling you insurance that you don’t need or can’t use. They also like to exclude high dollar losses when they can’t recover the expenses from another party. Read your homeowners policy carefully, most policies will not cover electronics destroyed by a lightning strike. They will not cover water going up the wall (washer breaks & floods the house) but they will normally cover water coming down the wall (roof leak unless it was caused by a dead tree). Or they set the deductible so high that they will never have to pay anything out (Obama care). Of course there are always *exceptions*.

Large companies can absorb the loss and claim it as a tax write-off. Smaller family owned business are gone. BTW, the big boys don’t self-insure anymore. They let an insurance company take the risk.

you watched the news of the riots you would clearly see the people robbing and looting have no concern for the man shot. It is being used as a distraction to steal from the very community they live in. The African American community should be shamed of the way their younger people are acting. Poor upbringing and a lack of parental guidance will give you what we now see. How can you possibly try to gain respect from anyone when this is what you have to offer. Whether you agree or disagree with what has happened the fact is the animals doing all this stuff have destroyed any compassion the average working American had for the memory of the man killed.

I think it is simply an entitlement mentality instead of a work ethic, cultivated by years of liberal sabotage on our society. Where it the logic? Let's see, I don't like what the GJ decided, so instead of looking at ways to appeal that, or researching the evidence, I go burn down a bidness. Cranial chaos, brought to you by the liberal media.

You know something is wrong when the liberals don't want us to have a gun, but burning and looting are 'first amendment' viable forms of protest. Saul Alinsky is alive and well.

Looks like a perfect opportunity to roll some Humvee's with mounted M134's and an overload of linked M80 through town!

They're saying he was unarmed, but I was under the impression he had a knife. Am I wrong?

NSFW. Don't click play if anything may offend you or anyone around you.

It was another guy days later:

Surprisingly it didn't make much of a splash in the news. I mean it's not like factual evidence has mattered before.

Saw that the day it happened, apparently those cops shot him over some drinks that he borrowed.

Sent via dixie cup string phone.

I guess the statement "he was asking for it" really applies here...

Hard to argue with that. Except I think he was demanding rather than asking. It was an ultimatum IIRC.

I caught Rachel Maddow's report on this. Her big thing was how less than 30 seconds after police arrived he was dead. I bet if the guy was threatening her with the knife the police not taking their time trying to come to a non lethal conclusion would not be as much of an issue.

How long does she think it takes for a POS to attack with a knife? Would it have been more appropriate for the officers to wait until he stabbed one of them for them to open fire? How long is the appropriate wait time for officers to use lethal force?! Freaking morons in the news.
