When wearing a pant with belt loops and a belt, I am able to wield my trust XDS45 in my IWB holster and go about my way. The issue lies in the fact that I like to wear "jogging"/Under Armour style pants... a lot. Anyone else with me? What are some ideas to carry while wearing pants like this? I plan to invest in a .380 or something more compact in the future to be able to carry while wearing elastic banded pants (without pulling them down or printing too obviously).

Keltec or ruger or something similar sized is essential in our weather. Wouldn't it be nice to live someplace where it was 60F all the time so you could carry what you wanted comfortably?

Went to Applebee's last night in some UA pants. Tucked in the PF9 with the belt clip and didn't even have to tie the draw string.

The PF9 is really light, and could work. I love my P3AT. Super light and compact, and 7 shots of .380.

I think the Kahrs are more solidly built. Would love a P380- but my Keltec P3AT has been flawless and serves me well.

My deepest concealed carry is a Seecamp. But the pants thing is out. There are "belly band" type holsters made from elasticized material or even Velcro that can be worn under the shirt and then there's the old "thunderwear", but hey, I'd rather not go there. I've used a band type for a number of occasions and prefer to wear it up high around my chest with the mini whatever under my armpit. If you're wearing sweats and a shirt out of the pants, access is actually quick and easy. And I dare say keeping things under wraps is even easier. I've carried a number of single stack poly framed autos from .32 (not a poly frame) auto to .40 with ease and comfort. Fairly cheap to try. And for me, a better place than my ankle to carry backup.

I've owned a PM9 and several other Kahrs. They are better built but the Keltec has filled the roll perfectly. I cannt see paying the extra money now.

I sold my Kel-Tec PF9 and plan on buying a Glock 42 to replace it. I've had the opportunity to run rounds through a Kahr PM9 and it's a fine weapon. I've also had the opportunity to finger bang a Kahr PM380 and it the quality was just as good.

What made you want to give up the 9mm for a .380? Was the PF9 malfunctioning are is it because you just wanted a Glock. Many officers swear by the 42 and I want one but just haven't found a way to justify it.

the issues I have with the 42 is that the size difference between it and the 26 is negligible. Though its a far better gun than the p3at, its triple the size. I'd agree with your statement that its hard to justify... thats the boat im in.

I did my homework before I made my decision. The PF9 is sub-par quality, poor ergonomics, and it is less fun to shoot than a .500 S&W. The PF9 was not for me.

People love the PF9. People also love pickles. I hate pickles.

    Edit -

For the sake of this not turning into a 9mm vs. .380 debate.
I personally find the .380 cartridge to be adequate and Glock doesn't make a single stack 9mm.

Picklist! Discriminating against harmless pickles! and do you hate all pickles or only some? And don't you dare say they all look alike to you! :)

I like fried pickles, but this is Louisiana and everything can be fried to deliciousness.

Do fried pickles count as a vegetable? I hope so.

I like the Kahr P380. it is a bit snappy, but, easy to shoot. I have shot a Ruger LCP several times. Would not own one. Not trying to start the 380 vs 9mm war either, but my 380 is a pocket carry, it serves a purpose.

I carry XDS in a elastic belly band holster when I'm wearing shorts or sweats. Don't know the brand, but there are many makes and they are inexpensive.
