Well, it's pretty obvious that the shooting was justified and necessary.
Add to that, well handled in the fact that the LEO's involved did not go in guns drawn and indeed used lethal force as a last resort as the guy was struggling to pull a gun from his pocket.

That being said, any verdict less than "justified shoot" would only be folding to those who would seek to intimidate the judicial system by way of threat. We can't let that happen.

I bet someone a dime that he was HIGH on something too.. My guess is that they will announce sometime soon.. Or they would not have called the meetings.. There might be more announcements later, but they are letting everyone know for safety sake..

"The group also discussed reforms to improve relationships between the community and law enforcement officers, as well as the way law enforcement will respond should there be protests following the announcement"

I hope they do not want to reform the BRPD response. I feel the rest of the country could use a few lessons from BRPD, they did an outstanding job this summer.

Agreed! BRPD and EBR Sheriff dept definitely need our support too. With the challenges they face nowdays and what things would be like without them, they need to know they have our support

    +1!

I'd relive the Alton thing weekly if need be to not have our officers afraid to handle the situation for fear of prosecution. This happened (see link below) around the corner from where Alton was shot in February. I'm sure these officers have to deal with thugs of this mentality daily in NBR. We definitely need to give them support and show them we are happy they are cleaning up the streets most of us fear going down. You won't catch me in that part of BR.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UolIyqhmlVk (there is a 25 minute vid of the whole pursuit)

I wouldn't mind revisiting the idea of BS doing something for BRPD/EBRSO as a group. May be a better time since everything is calmed down at the moment.

Unfortunately Mr. Sterling could have had a gun in one hand & a hatchet in the other swinging it at the officers & the community's reaction would be the same; a good upstanding Black Man shot & killed by the Gestapo Police. Sadly these people are not interested in justice unless cops (whether they be black or white) are found guilty.

To all the LEO's Thank You for your service & stay safe.

We should start loading air cannons full of soap and job applications. That would probably keep 90% of these out-of-town creeps away.

Really nothing to announce. These guys did their job, plain and simple and us non criminals stand behind them. These guys should not have to deal with all of the media driven ********. It's over and done, let these guys go back to doing their jobs and leave them alone. Criminals need to be held accountable for their actions, not celebrated. These aszholle protesters don't give 2 shits about all of the vets who get killed, injured or shot serving over seas ,yet they want to step up for a bunch of low life's who want to kill police.
    phukk them.

The problem with this announcement is the huge ass protest which will follow, regardless of what is said. Damned if they do and damned if they don't.

I'll just wear plates and keep on doing my thing.
