Is it just me or is the classifed section getting over run by newbs askin way too much for their guns. I have seen more bs prices in the last month than I can shake a stick at. Everything from ARs, dracos to overpriced glocks(i'm not gonna get specific but ya'll know what I'm talkin about). What are these new people thinking? I've been a member of several motorcycle forums and most of them have a minimum post count before you can post a thread in the classifieds. If we call them out on their ridiculous prices then we get bashed for it? Anybody else feel the same way?

To the moderators: I am not at all bashing this site. I love this site and have met some great people here. Its just these new people that post crazy ads and then you never see or hear from them again.

Thanks for listening to my rant. Now I'm going to bed.

Its not just recently. Its been 95% of every classified ad on every forum ive ever seen. People believe their used gun or "lightly used" gun in their own opinion is good enough for retail pricing. Many times they get sold just because people like that their is no paper trail with the gun.

I agree 1,000,000%!!!! There should be some type of filter that will not allow someone to sell anything without hitting 100 post first. If not that then atleast 100 days or so.

Here is another issue I have. Just because you say it has never been fired why the hell am I supposed to believe you?? If you buy a guy and never fire, WTF!!!!!! Why the hell did you buy it at all!!!

I'm sorry I am just frustrated because I am looking to buy things and people are pricing them so far out there it is crazy!!

Hell, just a few days ago Jason from Pelican Firearms sold a brand new FDE Glock for $475 OTD!!!!!! You have people on here asking for over $500 for a damn used Glock!

    Sorry..........

Perhaps they are used car salesmen in real life. Just because someone asks a price you don't like or maybe can't afford, does not neccesarily mean that is what you can buy it for. Everyone has different levels of negotiating skills or abilities. Kinda like cable TV, if you don't like the program, change the channel or move on. Perhaps a minimum of 6 months "Paid" membership to the forum before you can post a "Rant" would be a thought for consideration. Whatcha think guys? :bowrofl:

First off I have had a paid membership, so you can kiss my ASS!!

Secondly, I am not even going to entertain these morons and neither should anyone else!

Thirdly, If people keep trying to drive up the used gun prices then eventually MFG's will just raise there damn prices to compensate!

It is a sad day when we have to conform to the minority and keep our mouths shut to appease people, it is horse $hit!! If there feelings get hurt because they are told that they are asking a ridiculous price, then F'em!! :madfawk: :curse:

Every gun on the market has been fired at least twice. Gun manufacturers fire two rounds for testing.

I fully understand that. I am just saying I dont know why people buy a guy and never fire it. Does it happen, I am sure it does. But when you (not saying you) grossly over price something and then say "BTW it has never been fired" That doesnt fly with for any type of justification. For all I know you fired the **** out of it and are lying your ass off.

Just look at the guy that had the AR problems. Bought it form a board member and the thing is messed up. Anytime you buy a gun used, especially on a forum you are taking a risk, I got that. But blatantly lying is another thing.

IMO, almost every gun for sale in the classifieds is asking way too much... at least for me. Prices are a result of what the market will bear.

Really close to a freedom of speech issue. Unless there is a mandate that you have to buy it at that price then just go on down the road. I am a guest on this forum, as are you, so what gives you the right to "call them out " as you say.?
Looking at one of the gun value books one can see hundreds and even thousands of dollars difference between guns with only a miniscule difference. Everyone looks at guns differently. There are people on this forum with over 10,000 posts so you would be considered a newbie too by most.
As to those who post an ad and never come back I think that is a problem. By posting one has a responsibility to service that post. That is something you learn while growing up. When you are old enough to post to this forum it is too late to instill character and responsibility.

This is in response to Post #1.

That is the problem, we keep letting it happen and then it has gotten out of control. Like I said, when I can buy a brand new Glock for less than "SOME" used ones I have seen on here and other places, something is wrong.

Respecfully declined!! Since you are obviously not a "newbie" or "unpaid" member, then you should not be offended. Secondly, last I checked, My opinion counts just as much as yours! Have another cup of coffee, take a deep breath. Stress can be a killer!!

You are right and I went a little to far, for that I apologize. It just really irritates me when people are blatantly trying to take advantage of people.
