So Booseman, I dont guess your interested in purchasing my Hi Pernt 9mm that has only been shot by the guy on the corner I traded for it. Its real nice, shoots 40 thousand rds a second if your fast with the mag change. My best friends cousin's brother-in-law's uncles said it was worth a bunch. But I only want 900.00 for it.

+1 Well spoken Taiaut!! Since you are in Lake Charles too, could you go give Booseman a hug and tell him everything is going to be OK!! :bigok:

I think Booseman in Afghanistan right now. I too have noted firearms priced higher than retail. I'm all for a free market. If people were selling firearms too cheap would there be a complaint/we gotta do something about this post? When I see an overpriced gun in the classified I just think "Yea right" and move along. Kinda like when I'm at the gunshow. Only there are no ninja stars, beef jerkey, or scented candles here...

You are right and I went a little to far, for that I apologize. It just really irritates me when people are blatantly trying to take advantage of people.

    WOOSAAA!!!!!

People who get taken advantage of are the ones I have contempt for. If you have the ability to be online looking for a gun in the FS section of this forum, then you have the ability to do some simple price research.

Also, You and I have NO idea what guns really sell for on this forum. There's a whole netherworld of bargaining done behind the curtain.

I am. I just see it as an epidemic lately, maybe I am wrong. I understand the just move along theory but god forbid someone stumble in a thread that doesn't know any better and ends up with PF9 only fired once at a guy wearing a hoodie, to soon?? :dunno:

I can agree with that. But I love the 600 round per minute thread, that was out in the open!!!

I will just sit over here in ponchatoula, and continue on. It doesn't bother me when people sell stuff so high anymore, I laugh.

BTW I may have a gen 3 glock 23 coming, probably going to sell it around $375. (that's how you price a used gun)

The Afghanistan comment was in reference to the hug. He would have to travel a little. :) Thank you for your service Sir. In the past I mentioned a minimum post number before selling in the classified. Some members objected fearing a "good deal" might get away. What's worse is the intentional/unintentional misrepresentation of a firearm. I consider that even worse than overpricing and have seen it happen numerous times. Thank goodness our vigilant members catch and call out most of these sellers. As far as paying too much if you don't do your due diligence and pay too much. Shame on You! You can't sucker proof the world.

Anybody ever see this 'Bruce' guy who post on LA Sportsman? He prices just about every used gun he sells at or above the cost of new. Obviously, somebody is paying it because the guns just keep on coming.

Not sure about the law but to sell firearms as a business don't you have to possess an FFL? I believe this subject was addresses here with our classifieds.

Reading this thread reminded me that I have a brand new rifle in .270 sitting in my closet for 3 years that has never been fired.:dunno: Bought it cheap, and never got around to getting a scope for it.

I am. (in Afganistan) I know. And I am not going that far for a hug even if it does feel good. I'll wait for July.

You can't save the world. Would you not rather see a fellow forum member get the dummy's money ? If he is no smarter than that there will be someone around the next corner who will get it from him.
