      You're gonna like it. It's my second-favorite N-frame. Some previous owner had put Ajax grips on it, but they fit my hand better that Smith targets.

      The joys of being a revolver guy. Should I get a 17 (that's a K frame 22) or a 34 (that's a J frame 22 - much smaller. Hard to think about comparing them), or change my 19 (K frame 357) into a 34 (J frame 22?!?! How the hell is he gonna accomplish that??) I read more. Oh. Glock. Never mind.

      Depends on what type slug you plan to use. Normal, old-fashioned "rifled slugs" - foster slugs - work fine in either smooth or rifled barrels. Sabot slugs, however, were designed to be used in rifled barrels, and don't work well in smoothbores.
