Its easy. Vice and vice block to hold the upper receiver is most important as previously mentioned. I just got a .300 BLK upper, I like it but now I need to get into reloading as that ammo is pricey when available. Good luck.
Yeah I do. G34 with Warren sights (fiber optic front) and standard non-extended slide lock lever, otherwise stock. Let me know if you still interested and I'll give a price.
Goteron,
The discussion has been good, thanks. We have sufficiently hijacked the OPs thread I guess. I agree the Spikes T2 is pretty much perfect for most ARs, weight wise it is comparable to the H2. The Vltor A5 is a nice system and worth the money if you were building an AR from scratch...
goteron,
Feel and weight (relatively speaking) are insignificant and I can't quantify the feel of an AR15 with the A5 stock anyways, I have one and you are welcome to shoot it sometime to form your own opinion regarding the feel.
I am only concerned with reliability in operation. My...
goteron, I would respectfully say that if all ARs were built correctly they would be using rifle buffers not carbine buffers. 5.3oz if i remember correctly. This is why I like the VLTOR A5 so much. I personally believe there is no place in the world for any buffer lighter than an H2.
I am no expert but the majority of issues I see with AR SBRs and pistols is excessive bolt speed usually caused by light buffers. You can get away with different set ups in a 16" barrel vs a 11" inch or less barrel. You DO NOT have to run that oring under the extractor that most people run, I...
You need a much heavier buffer, at least a H2. I like the Spikes T2, my brother uses the T2 in a 8.5 in LWRC SBR and it works well. If you go SBR get the VLTOR A5.
I have a High Standard which is one of these phillipine imports also. I don't like 1911s but I thought I should own a "historical type" one. I like it, it works great and it is fun to shoot. Just don't compare it to a TRP or something like that.
It all depends on how well the carrier shoots the revolver. Most people don't shoot them as well as they think they do. If you have one and can shoot it well, it would be more than enough.
If the CLEO sign off is removed the approval process may get longer initially but once .gov realizes how much tax money is being brought in I am pretty sure they could hire more reviewers. Maybe this is part of Obama's plan to pay for socialism. Smart, the ATF will bring in tons of money even...
I have a Glock 23 Gen 4 with grip stippling I would be interested in trading for this. The stippling is nicely done and doesn't affect the use of the interchangeable backstraps. Let me know if that is something you are interested in and I will provide pics.
I use a Comp-Tac Infidel (IWB) with the belt clip. The newer design belt clip is much better than the old design, IMO. It is easy to remove and put back on. I have used this holster for almost three years between the G19 and G26, I have never had an issue with the holster coming off the belt...
I carried the G19 for a year or so but ended up switching to the 26 when I had to start using an ankle holster for concealed carry due to work attire, any carry is better than no carry. So the 26 works for IWB and ankle carry which means when I travel I take one gun and two holsters...very...
