I'm the worst with pistol iron sights.
I have this tendency to always try to keep the target just above the front post (I zero my rifles this way)
But factory zeroes for handguns tend to require covering the target.
Anyways after mounting a vortex viper on my H&K I rarely miss at 25 now...
Technically
But I think that's only what Springfield calls it
Everyone else who manufactures them still calls them m14 it seems.
Mine is stamped US rifle M14
So I recently acquired an m14.
And am learing that it's a match rifle.
From Arms Corp of Baltimore, which I found out isnt the same company as armscor of the Phillipines
The m14/M1a haven't really been my kinda gun but I'm really taking a liking to this one.
The rifle is glass bedded...
problem solved.
dismantled recoil spring assembly, reversed spring, straightened guide as best as I could....then took the chore of reassembling the thing.
I can rack the bolt carrier without it binding up again.
just picked up a VZ58 / vz2008 yesterday....
I took it apart to lube the gun up and when I put everything back together I can no longer pull back the charging handle. it completely binds up about halfway.....
I've already tried and retried reassembly multiple times, and even watching...
speaking of which. I snapped these at my favorite restaurant on my recent visit to japan.
this yakiniku den has the best translations ever, but also the best food. haha.
nah, customs was cool with it. they only seem to care about agricultural things. they confiscated my ramen and curry set but that was about it. they didnt care about the knives.
wellp, Im at Narita airport beginning the journey back to Louisiana.
got a few hours before my flight.
hoping my knives and other things are safe from customs in my checked luggage
