You may try at the old Bayview Tavern on Hwy 16. Right outside of Port Vincent. I see folks drowning crickets there regularly and there is plenty space for multiple folks to set up.

Ring choice will be just as important. I went with a 40mm objective scope and medium height rings. Plenty clearance for hammer. Literally hundreds of scope choices out there, depending on what you call "not expensive". Vortex would be a good starting point to consider.
