CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

Yep. And you're about the 4th person to call me a he on this thread. Not that y'all would have a reason to know otherwise, but nope. I'm just a girl who like guns. One little question about the law and some dudes around here are ready for WWIII.

      Your avatar suits, you, thperez.

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

Exactly. I haven't seen anyone here say they wouldn't be respectful or that they wouldn't comply. In fact, I think everybody has said they would comply. If people can't handle that not everyone agree's with this law, the way I see that's a personal problem on their part. People are acting as if...

      Ok, Point definitely taken, Mitch.

If you can't have a discussion with me without claiming I've said & done things I've never said or done, you aren't worth having a discussion with. Communication isn't your goal. Debate isn't in your skill set. So there's no reason to continue to bother. Bye thperez.

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

It seems like you read what you want to hear into what I say regardless of whether i've actually said it. And then suggest that no officer has ever lost their cool except for good reason. We can all watch hundreds of videos that prove otherwise...

12 States Banning Sale of Gas Powered Cars.

Silly wabbit, tricks are for kids. Newsom doesn't want the pain to hit until after he's gone.

Agreed, but they asked and I'm answering.

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

Please go read the stories on this thread and then watch video's of officer's dealing with lawfully armed motorists. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes it doesn't . The advantage lies in avoiding the 'sometimes it doesn't' cases. I don't want you pulling a loaded weapon off of my belly. The...

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

You are very concerned that I earn your trust, but don't seem worried to earn my trust. You don't know me, sure, but guess what? I don't know you either. It's not like there are no bad cops, incompetent cops etc. out there. Am I saying you are one of them? Of course not. But when you pull me...

I think you do, or at least you've had the opportunity to understand it, lol. You've been involved in this discussion from page 1. I get that you don't agree with it, and that's ok. But it's been discussed plenty on this thread. However, just to humor you, here goes: I don't want someone other...

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

I want to follow the law. I also don't want to be put into undue danger by the law or put anyone else into undue danger by following the law. . Therefore, I would prefer the law not require me to inform. Fairly simple.

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

I don't. You're telling me the cop will be safer because I informed I have a firearm? Sooooo.....are you saying the one who is going to use a gun on a cop is going to announce they have a gun while it's still out of sight? Maybe they believe in giving that cop a head start or something. Such a...

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

There are plenty of videos of interactions like that (and worse) around, too. So for me, an opportunity to possibly have a nice chat with an officer and be told I have a cool firearm doesn't outweigh the possibility of a bad interaction. I'd rather miss out on both since I don't know which I'll...

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

The stories on this thread are perfect examples of why. I'm not breaking any laws carrying my pistol, I don't want to get felt up, disarmed, any of that. Nothing in these interactions described made anyone involved safer - just the opposite. Why would I be in favor of that?? Why would anybody?

CCW Duty to Notify -CHP vs. Constitutional Carry

Now that you say that, I remember there being something like that. Don't know the details though!

Thanks, that seem clear enough. Too bad we have that requirement, but, it is what it is.
