Glock 9 to 40 conversion barrel
That is correct. I have several conversion barrels from 40 to 9mm but you cannot go the other way. You could get yourself a 10mm conversion for your 45 though. Grab some mags and have some fun. I've got a 23 I'll sell if you are interested. -

AR-Stoner AR-15 7.62X39 Reviews?
I have built several x39 AR guns and they work well if you do it right. You have to run ASC/C Products mags, you need an enhanced firing pin from Model1Sales, and you need a wolff extra duty hammer spring. Follow those 3 and you should get a dependable rifle that is more accurate than the AK -
