Thinking they would just call the owner, they searched for an ID, but there was none, she said. Her daughter unzipped the bag and said, “‘Oh my God, it’s a gun.’ I said, ‘I think I’m going to throw up,’” Fleissig said.

Fleissig said she and her daughter jumped out of the car to get away from the gun. “I took a picture, zipped it back up and went to the police station. They came out and took it.”

With people like that living in New York, I can see how the SAFE act got passed...

I could see them being a bit freaked out. Its the evil black rifle that kills everyone according to the media!

Honestly, I would be a bit worried. Thinking it was used in a crime or stolen. I mean, who seriously leaves an AR laying around? But I would not puke. And they might be missing that eotech.

That is a pretty big item to miss on a cleanup. What I find odd is the sight of a rifle made them want to throw up. Does the sight of a broadsword do the same thing? What about the sight of a B-17 flying fortress? If I opened a bag and found it stuffed with human heads or piles of excrement, it would make me want to throw up, but this seems an awful strong reaction to a rifle.
